Aramark Hires Former PepsiCo Fleet Director as Fleet VP
Pete Silva was named vice president of fleet North America for Aramark. He assumed this position in October. Silva was the senior director of procurement PepsiCo and indirect purchasing for Frito Lay.

Pete Silva was named vice president of fleet North America for Aramark. He assumed this position in October.
Prior to this, Silva was senior director procurement PepsiCo and indirect purchasing Frito Lay at PepsiCo/Frito Lay, where he worked for 32 years from 1982-2014.
While at PepsiCo/Frito Lay, Silva completed fleet purchasing and con-tract negotiations for entire PepsiCo family of companies, including Frito-Lay, Pepsi Bottlers, Tropicana, and Quaker Oats in U.S. and Canada, with spending exceeding $500 million per year and covering over 70,000 vehicles. Silva assumed additional role of director of indirect procurement for Frito-Lay in 2007, responsible for indirect purchasing at company and seven new direct reports.
Silva was named Fleet Executive of the Year in 2008 by Fleet Financials magazine.
Earlier, Silva was director fleet operations and safety for Frito Lay from 1998 to 2004. While at Frito Lay, Silva engaged in fleet purchasing and operations management of sixth-largest private fleet in the nation, with capital budget of $75 million.
