Ram has announced a new commercial vehicle division, Ram Professional, which made its debut at the 2024 National Truck and Equipment (NTEA) Work Truck Week show in Indianapolis on March 6.

Ram Professional is a vehicle ecosystem for commercial customers, providing commercial products, upfit and conversion needs, electrification assistance, and connected services under one roof, according to Ram.

The consolidation of services into Ram Professional comes as fleets need brand-new services and education along the path to electrification.

Ford consolidated its fleet and commercial services into Ford Pro in 2021. In May 2023, General Motors followed suit with a similar initiative, GM Envolve. The programs offer multiple solutions through a single digital pane of glass.

“With Ram Professional, our commercial vehicle customers will benefit from a simplified and all-encompassing business solution with products and services that feature best-in-class performance, capability, advanced technology and value to best fit their business needs,” said Ken Kayser, vice president, Ram Professional.

Ram Professional Services

Ram Professional will implement new services in phases that start with the vehicle and expand into a suite of professional services.

Commercial service support will come from the Ram BusinessLink dealer network that offers new maintenance contracts that include basic fleet maintenance services. Additionally, Ram Professional has expanded full mechanical coverage and 24-hour roadside assistance.

Ram Professional customers can access financing through Stellantis Financial, including closed-end leasing and commercial lines of credit.

The Ram Professional connected services center will be consolidated around the Ram Connect system and powered by the data platform Mobilisights.

Professional charging solutions will be offered through the Stellantis Free2move ecosystem of charging hardware, software, and services.

Ram Professional’s Free2move global mobility provider will offer shared vehicle services to individuals and companies, such as vehicle-sharing, vehicle rental, and vehicle subscription, as well as mobile parking services.

Jeff Kommor, recently appointed as Ram’s senior vice president of commercial sales, will lead fleet, government, and other B2B sales for Ram Professional.
