Advanced Technology

The Kona Electric comes standard with an expansive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster integrated with Hyundai’s next-generation 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

This array delivers a new graphic user interface, faster processing speeds, and customizable layouts. The system also incorporates EV-specific menus that allow users to set charging preferences and find the nearest charging stations. Other advanced connectivity features on the Kona include standard Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, and Wi-Fi hotspots.

The new i-PEDAL feature enables a one-pedal driving mode that allows drivers to accelerate, decelerate, and stop using only the accelerator when desired. The Smart Regenerative System adjusts regenerative braking levels based on real-time data from forward traffic flow, optimizing efficiency.

Design and Interior

The electric features standard LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lamps and taillights, and an available “Seamless Horizon” LED DRL array.

The Kona Electric has grown nearly six inches in length and the second row has gained three inches in legroom, as well as the cargo area having grown by 33%. Further, standard wheels on this SUV are 17-inch aero alloys which can help to improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Bluelink+ and Hyundai Pay

the 2024 Kona Electric features Bluelink+, a connected car services program that Hyundai intends to include for all 2024 model vehicles. Bluelink+ gives original owners of all 2024 model-year Hyundai vehicles complimentary access to all services included in the previous Bluelink connected care, remote and guidance subscription packages (4G LTE network and technology dependent).

Hyundai Kona Electric also features an expansion of the recently launched Hyundai Pay platform to enable in-vehicle payments. In addition to parking, Kona Electric owners can pay for charging at select locations through Hyundai Pay.
