Automotive Fleet editor Mike Antich and Hans Damen, managing partner for Fleet360, recently sat down to find out how Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) impact fleets, as they are being installed in more and more vehicle models.
The discussion was the eighth episode of the Fleet Meet series, co-produced by Fleet360 and Automotive Fleet. Fleet Meet discussions examine similar and contrasting fleet trends in Europe, the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
The discussion also focused on the proliferation of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) in fleet vehicles, the risk that drivers will become too reliant on the safety technology, the need for fleets to properly instruct drivers on ADAS functions, and how ADAS technology increases a vehicle’s acquisition cost.
