In the latest State of the Fleet Industry Spotlight video, Automotive Fleet Editor Mike Antich interviewed Oleg Cytowicz, North America fleet leader, Unilever North America, to discuss the history and evolution of fleet technology.
During their discussion they presented a look back at fleet technology breakthroughs through the 1990s, and how the emergence of web-enabled fleet management systems impacted the industry in the early 2000s, along with the impact of the government’s decision to make GPS signal accessible to private industries and the creation of an all-new data stream due to the proliferation of telematics devices.
In addition, there is a look forward on the future of fleet technology and its use in data mining and data analytics.
