OMERS Private Equity said it has acquired Caliber Collision Centers from private equity firm ONCAP.

Based in Dallas, Caliber is the largest independent provider of automotive collision repair services in the U.S., with a network of 158 collision centers located in California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Oklahoma and Colorado. The company has approximately 3,700 employees and repairs more than 285,000 vehicles annually.

Earlier in November, Caliber completed its own major acquisition. The company on Nov. 11 announced it had acquired nine Global Collision locations in and around the Denver market.

“Our acquisition of Global Collision dramatically expands our penetration in this market while providing greater customer convenience throughout the Denver area,” said Steve Grimshaw, president and CEO of Caliber Collision Centers.
