In late 2012, MiX Telematics secured a three-year contract with DHL UAE to deliver a driver safety solution for both their couriers and employees, which will enable DHL’s regional office to bring about a reduction in their accident rates.
The MiX SafeDrive solution facilitates ongoing assessment of the couriers’ driving behavior. Improvements are made through the identification of trouble areas and/or poor performers and subsequent targeted driver training. In addition, the training is delivered in such a way that it has little effect on the work schedules of the couriers, according to MiX.
The other facet of the solution – driver safety training for DHL employees – will help to educate drivers about the importance of safety.
