SAN DIEGO – Networkcar has been selected as a finalist for the AeA High Tech Awards. Networkcar was chosen in the category ‘Computers and Related Products.’ The AeA recognizes local technology companies for their achievements in technological innovation, civic contributions, and industry accomplishments. Networkcar’s Networkfleet wireless vehicle management system enables fleet managers to connect with their vehicle operations. Networkfleet transmits both vehicle location and performance information directly from the vehicle. Fleet managers can locate vehicles in real-time, increasing response time and reducing operating costs. At the same time, Networkfleet’s patented remote diagnostic capabilities notify fleet managers via e-mail when a diagnostic problem occurs so they can fix vehicle problems early. For the 2006 High Tech Awards, more than 500 technology executives, including AeA members and nonmembers, will come together to acknowledge the successes of local technology companies from a diverse set of categories ranging from software, semiconductors, medical device, and outstanding emerging growth. Winners will be announced at the upcoming 13th Annual AeA High Tech Awards event Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Hilton Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif.
