Emkay, Inc., a leading full-service automotive fleet leasing company, was purchased last month by Indiana Capital Corporation, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Arthur Kniebler, and Steven Benedict. The firm was purchased from its founders, Michael Braude and Samuel Katzin.

Benedict becomes Emkay's new president, moving up from his former position as executive vice president. Samuel Rea, chairman of Indiana Capital Corporation, becomes Emkay's chairman, while Arthur Kniebler becomes vice president of the company.

According to Steven Benedict, "Emkay, Incorporated plans to expand its sales through an aggressive marketing program that will consist of direct sales supported by an active advertising and public relations campaign."

Emkay specializes in providing a full-service fleet lease package that includes the car, insurance, all maintenance and repairs, tires, licenses, delivery and handling of taxes. The company was founded in Chicago in 1947 and has grown to its present position as one of the largest privately owned fleet leasing companies in the nation.

In addition to leasing and maintaining auto fleets for corporations in the United States, Emkay also provides fleets in foreign countries for American firms. The national headquarters are at 6850 South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago.
