The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has recognized Volkswagen’s midsize SUV with its highest safety accolade.
With a strong market push in EVs and BEVs, the Volkswagen Group achieved an estimated 25% market share of the BEV segment in Europe with over 5% sales growth over the previous year in the electric segment.
Vehicles from the VW Group are the most in demand. With more than 150% growth in the past year for the Group, the Audi Q4 e-tron knocked the Tesla Model 3 from top spot.
VW’s latest technology uses sensor fusion that combines data from the camera and the radar to help better detect pedestrians and cyclists who the driver may not see in front or alongside the vehicle.
For 2022, the Jetta MSRP starts at $20,195, while the Jetta GLI MSRP starts at $30,995.
All Jetta models achieve an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 33 MPG or greater combined.
The new Jetta comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged and direct-injection engine, while the Jetta GLI is powered by a 2.0-liter engine that produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
Claire English was appointed Head of Fleet for Audi UK. The leasing and fleet executive moves over to Audi UK from an equivalent position at Volkswagen UK’s Commercial Vehicles division.
