RICE LAKE, WI – Tim Griffin, former fleet manager for Kraft Food's U.S. pizza and biscuit divisions, has joined Johnson Refrigerated Truck Bodies.
- Kraft Foods Inc. will put a new refrigerated diesel-electric hybrid truck on the road to transport frozen food, American Honda Motor Co. Inc. will start using a hybrid truck to haul service parts in Georgia, and Electric Vehicles International USA is introducing its fully-electric work truck to the U.S. market.
With gas prices showing no signs of dropping, Kraft switched most of its sales fleet from six-cylinder to four-cylinder sedans, resulting in fuel savings of about 6.5 percent and expected lifecycle cost savings around 9 percent.
