Biofuels Bill Would Mandate More Flex-Fuel Vehicles

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) on Jan. 25 led a group of senators in introducing legislation aimed at expanding markets for biofuels. The bill would increase the number of flex-fuel vehicles on the road, increase the number of blender pumps dispensing biofuels, and authorize loan guarantees for the construction of renewable fuel pipelines.

EPA Grants E15 Waiver for MY 2001-2006 Cars, Light Trucks

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Jan. 21 waived a limitation on selling gasoline that contains more than 10 percent ethanol for model year (MY) 2001 through 2006 passenger vehicles, including cars, SUVs and light pickup trucks. The waiver applies to fuel that contains up to 15-percent ethanol, known as E15.

Knoxville Utilities Board Fleet to be Recognized on MotorWeek TV Show
