Commercial, government, and fleet customers converged in the District of Columbia for Ford's 2019-MY Fleet Preview. The event featured early looks at upcoming vehicles, as well as first-hand demonstrations of various vehicles.

More than 800 commercial, government, and daily rental fleet customers attended the General Motors Fleet 2019 Solutions Summit — an annual fleet preview that took place in May in Nashville, Tennessee.

The plug-in electric hybrid version of the 2018 Outlander has the potential to
provide big gas savings. Its 20-mile all-electric range makes it an ideal vehicle for fleets operating short city routes.

Ford has added a turbodiesel engine to its 2018 F-150 lineup to provide half-ton pickup buyers greater towing capability (up to 11,400 pounds). The high-torque (440 lb.-ft.) pickup also provides excellent fuel efficiency (30 mpg on the highway for the rear-wheel model).
