DALLAS – Yellow Cab Dallas/Fort Worth is launching a pilot program that will add 10 to 15 new hybrid vehicles to its fleet by the end of the year.
DALLAS – Yellow Cab Dallas/Fort Worth is launching a pilot program that will add 10 to 15 new hybrid vehicles to its fleet by the end of the year, according to the cab company.
The hybrids will be evaluated on customer satisfaction, fuel savings, dependability and economic viability.
"We have a goal of converting our entire fleet to environmentally friendly vehicles by the end of 2011, presumably hybrid vehicles, but knowing that more advanced technologies may be on the horizon" said Yellow Cab President Jack Bewley in a prepared statement.
The Regional Transportation Council of the North Central Texas Council of Governments is expected to honor the company at a ceremony Wednesday for its hybrid pilot program.
