DES PLAINES, IL – Wheels, Inc. announced that an enhancement to Wheels’ DriverView, an Internet-based driver tool, was recently released to provide users with an easy and secure way to upfit light and medium duty trucks and vans. The fleet office, along with their Wheels’ account team and truck engineer, determines what upfitting packages are the best for the fleet. They then provide access to their branch managers or drivers based on the locations' needs. DriverView users are able to upfit vehicles with bins, ladder racks, decals, etc. In addition to DriverView transmitting orders to the manufacturer electronically, the system will also automatically forward the purchase orders on to the upfitters. “Providing our customers and their drivers with the right information and Internet tools enables them to process their upfitting needs quickly and accurately,” said Dave Decker, manager of truck engineering. “Wheels’ truck engineers then monitor the upfitting process to ensure specifications and delivery requests are met.”
