DES PLAINES, IL – Wheels, Inc., a provider in the fleet-leasing industry, recently announced upgrades to two components of its FleetView online tool, Compare and Dashboard Alerts, in support of its EcoWheels Program.
When using the Compare tool, clients may now include vehicles’ greenhouse gas scores along with expected fuel efficiency as a search parameter when comparing vehicles in FleetView Ordering. Wheels’ online Compare tool allows fleet managers to perform side-by-side vehicle comparisons, including lifecycle cost projections, to assist in vehicle ordering selection.
The Greenhouse Gas Score reflects emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases resulting from fuel consumption.
In addition, Wheels has released a new Alert in the Dashboard component of FleetView.
Clients may now set up a customized fuel efficiency exception notification. The notification yields a list of vehicles that are not meeting the client’s objective. Users then have the ability to drill into the detail, enabling them to determine which driver or vehicles may need attention. Fleets then can identify internal training opportunities to modify driver behavior or monitor their overall vehicle selection.
"These new features of our EcoWheels program help our clients who are pursuing green initiatives up front, during the vehicle selection process, as well as those seeking to monitor fuel economy of their fleet on an ongoing basis,” noted Stratford Dick, Wheels senior director of marketing. “They supplement our other program features, including our proprietary driver incentive component and the specific strategic recommendations that our account managers put together for each client's overall fleet program."
These upgrades to FleetView are some of many environmentally-focused initiatives Wheels delivers to its clients as part of its ever-evolving EcoWheels Program to help them make educated decisions for their fleets and meet corporate objectives.
