Wheels Earns American Business Award for Toll Management Program
The company’s Toll Management program was awarded a Silver Stevie award in the Transportation segment of the New Product or Service of the Year category.
Wheels, Inc., a leader in the automotive fleet management and services industry, last night took home an American Business Award (aka a “Stevie”). The company’s Toll Management program was awarded a Silver Stevie award in the Transportation segment of the New Product or Service of the Year category.
“The Wheels Toll Management solution has proven very successful at helping our clients dramatically reduce the financial impact that toll violations have on their fleets, while eliminating a very cumbersome administrative task at the same time,” said David Vergara, Executive Director of Product Management at Wheels. “We are honored to have been recognized by the American Business Awards for our commitment to providing our clients with tools and services that deliver substantial value.”
The Wheels Toll Management program, which covers all major tolling regions in North America, ensures that vehicles are equipped to receive the lowest possible toll rates while avoiding violations. The program provides up-to-date tolling equipment and full administrative support for drivers. It also includes a reporting and analytics package that offers companies complete visibility to all of their toll-related data.
The program eliminates the need to spend time and effort submitting toll receipts for reimbursement, and provides a complimentary support line for any questions. If a driver does incur a toll violation, Wheels automatically contests it with the regulatory authority on the client’s behalf.
Vergara said that most of the violations Wheels contests end up being dismissed. He added that Wheels clients have seen their hard-cost toll violation expenses decrease by up to 95% through widespread violation avoidance, as well as drastic reductions in the administrative time associated with managing transponders and processing toll violations.
The American Business Awards is among the world’s premier business recognition events, featuring entrants from across the U.S. in all types of businesses – large and small, public and private, for-profit and non-profit. More than 3,200 nominations from organizations in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, and winners were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.
“So many remarkable stories of success and innovation were told in the nominations submitted to this year’s American Business Awards,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “We congratulate all of this year’s Stevie Award winners, and thank them for the inspiration provided by their achievements.”
