Wheels Announces Enhancements to Its Online Custom Query Tool

DES PLAINES, IL– Wheels, Inc., a leader in the multi-billion-dollar fleet leasing industry, recently expanded the level of expense summary metrics available via FleetView, the company’s online fleet management tool, making it easier for clients to access and analyze data related to their fleet costs.
FleetView users can now use the site’s Custom Query Tool to view billing summaries and invoice information via new search categories: Expenses (Last 12 Months) and Expenses (Life to Date). Costs are broken down by expense type (e.g. depreciation, funding, tax, registration, maintenance, fuel, collision and more), providing each client with a per-vehicle snapshot of its expense information and allowing for in-depth analysis. Users can choose to see totals, average spend per vehicle month, or average spend per mile.
The Custom Query data runs congruent with Wheels’ billing system and the company’s industry-leading Expense Variance and Cost Projection Decision Tools. Through these online tools, clients are able to look back to see the results of previous vehicle decisions and cost assumptions, while also looking ahead to anticipate market changes, make accurate forecasts, and weigh alternative budget strategies. This invaluable historical analysis of costs enables clients to capitalize on past successes while avoiding any previous mistakes.
“Wheels continuously searches for ways to enhance our tools and functionality to bring more value to our clients,” said Steven Loos, Wheels’ VP of Information Technology and CIO. “To that end, we are delighted to announce these new capabilities, which will provide clients with industry-leading insights into their expenses and ways to manage them.”
Introduced in 2009, the Wheels Custom Query Tool provides FleetView users with over 200 fleet data elements that can be used to quickly generate customized reports. This easy-to-use tool allows users to build filters into the reports as they develop them, view report previews, and save the new report templates for future use.
