LOS ANGELES - With the addition of five new hybrid vehicles, the City of West Covina, Calif.'s "green" vehicle fleet totals 39. The vehicles include propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), electric, and hybrid. The majority of these vehicles are used in the City's public transportation fleet of shuttle buses.
West Covina is one of 20 public sector fleets selected by Government Fleet for the 2009 Environmental Leadership Award for having one of the top green fleets in the country.
