Walmart Partners with Gatik for Self-Driving Delivery Service Pilot Project
Walmart announced its partnership with Gatik after Arkansas passed legislation allowing for the operation of autonomous vehicles.The retailer hopes to improve customer experience and test autonomous vehicles.

In a corporate blog post, Walmart announced that it is partnering with Gatik to streamline grocery delivery services and further develop their autonomous vehicle pilot projects.
Arkansas passed legislation allowing for autonomous vehicles to operate in the state this past March. Gatik, a company specialized in B2B short-haul logistics in autonomous vehicles, with Walmart has begun testing an autonomous vehicle to move customer orders on a two-mile route in Bentonville between two stores.
Walmart’s hopes to reinvent the shopping experience and learn more about the opportunities that arise by implementing autonomous technology.
