The 2026 Fleet Forward Conference takes place Oct. 20-22 at Gaylord National Harbor in Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C. The conference makes its East Coast debut this year with three days of education, networking, technology, and hands-on experiences focused on the forces reshaping fleet management.

"Not every fleet professional can step away from their operation for three days, but that shouldn't keep them from being part of Fleet Forward," said Chris Brown, conference chair. "The one-day pass gives fleet managers the flexibility to look at the agenda, choose the day that delivers the most value for their operation, and join us at the Gaylord National Harbor."

Choose the Day That Fits

Each day of Fleet Forward offers a different mix of education and experiences across the conference's six programming pillars: Mobility & Autonomy; Data Integration, AI & Predictive Intelligence; Global Strategy; Fleet Safety & Risk; Infrastructure & Energy; and People, Talent & Culture.

Tuesday, Oct. 20, opens with keynote speaker John Rossant, founder of CoMotion. Rossant will examine the global forces poised to reshape fleet operations over the next decade. Rossant will focus on the convergence of AI, autonomy, and the transition to low- and zero-carbon propulsion, drawing on developments already unfolding in Europe, China, and the Gulf.

Wednesday, Oct. 21, features a full slate of educational sessions, including the Fleet Safety keynote from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety President David Harkey. Harkey will give fleet professionals an early look at IIHS testing and analysis of delivery vans, pickups, and work trucks, including how crash-avoidance technologies perform in commercial vehicles.

Wednesday's concurrent sessions extend across fleet's most immediate operational challenges, including AI and data, vehicle electrification, safety, maintenance, leadership, and cost management.

Thursday, Oct. 22, continues the educational program and culminates with the conference's closing keynote from Merchants Fleet CEO Matt Dyer, who will examine how the fleet profession is evolving into a more strategic business function.

"Whether you're coming for AI, safety, electrification, fleet strategy, or simply to compare notes with other fleet managers, you can build a very productive day around the issues that matter most to your operation," Brown said.

Fleet Forward Comes to the East Coast

This year's theme, "Leading Fleets Through Transformation," reflects a program designed around the changing responsibilities of fleet professionals as new technology, regulation, safety priorities, and business demands converge.

The move to National Harbor also puts Fleet Forward within reach of a large concentration of commercial and public-sector fleets throughout the Mid-Atlantic and eastern United States.
