VW's e-Golf to Arrive in November

Volkswagen will begin selling the e-Golf — its first battery-electric U.S. vehicle — in November, the automaker announced in an update of its 2015-MY lineup.

Volkswagen will begin selling the e-Golf — its first battery-electric U.S. vehicle — in November, the automaker announced in an update of its 2015-MY lineup.

The e-Golf will initially be available in select markets such as California.

The vehicle will arrive with a 7.2-killowatt onboard charger and fast charging capability that gives the vehicle an 80 percent charge within 30 minutes at select DC fast charging stations. The compact car should provide an everyday driving range of between 70 and 90 miles with a maximum range of approximately 115 miles, according to the automaker.
