FRANKFORT, Germany --- Volkswagen AG plans to offer hybrid versions of all future new models, the company's head of product development told Automobilewoche magazine. Ulrich Hackenberg, Volkswagen's head of product development, said all upcoming models will have versions with either full or partial hybrid engines. Volkswagen highlighted its rear-engine compact car, scheduled for a 2011 launch, at the IAA auto show in Frankfurt. The company is also considering an electric-only motor for its car marketed under the name New Small Family. Moreover, Volkswagen is bolstering its offerings of fuel-efficient models grouped under the BlueMotion name, Forbes reported.
