The Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR), now in its ninth year as the nation's premiere remarketing conference, will cover the broad spectrum of the remarketing industry and include an all-star line up of industry experts who will address topics in the forefront of the industry, providing how-to solutions for your company. The conference will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, January 21-23, 2004.

CAR 2004 will co-locate with the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA), which will hold its remarketing roundtable series for IARA members, featuring the top auction, consignee, and financial companies in the remarketing industry.

Opening day will feature IARA’s acclaimed Roundtable Meeting; topics include the IARA Online Remarketing Orientation Course, Transportation Issues Confronting Non-Captives Involved in Upstream Selling, and the National Remarketing Survey by Emercent Solutions of Chicago.

“This is my second year as emcee of the Conference of Automotive Remarketing, and I am looking forward to another great show. CAR attracts a broad range of professionals; it’s always a great opportunity for networking,” says Charlie Vogelheim of Kelley Blue Book.

The first of two exceptional keynote speakers, Don Esmond, sr. VP of Toyota Motor Sales, will address “Positioning Residuals, Certified Programs, and Direct-to-Dealer Online Used-Car Sales,” essential information for anyone interested in increasing profits from used-vehicle sales.

The second keynoter, Gretchen Joyce, director of autos, eBay Motors, will share insights the company has gained from its online sales programs.

Another conference highlight, at the conference’s conclusion, third keynote speaker Chip Perry, president of Autotrader.com, will discuss “ The Future Perspective of Consumer and Trade Remarketing.” Autotrader.com has revenues of over 100 million annually. The morning will continue with the biggest and brightest speakers in the remarketing industry, in an array of panel discussions and seminars featuring representatives from JD Power, Kelley Blue Book, NADA, Honda, and top auction executives, who will share tips on how to increase revenue in this tough economic climate.
