INDIANAPOLIS — Verizon Wireless, a wireless communication provider, announced it is offering a turn-key fleet management solution targeted to small- and medium-sized businesses within the transportation, logistics, construction, utilities, and delivery industries. The fleet management solution provides small- to medium-sized businesses with vehicle location information needed to improve their operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and grow their business through better use of their mobile resources. Fleet Administrator is provided through installation of a wireless device in the fleet vehicle or vehicles and a software application that is installed on the office computer. Developed by Navman Wireless, the Fleet Administrator solution from Verizon Wireless requires no customization or integration and provides everything needed to get up and running, including in-vehicle device installation, software application, customer training, and complete technical support. Fleet managers can use the solution to map vehicle locations, analyze a vehicle’s activity – including stops, mileage and idleness – define a driver’s territory, and create reports. The launch of the Verizon Wireless Fleet Administrator Solution is part of Verizon Wireless’ suite of advanced offerings for business customers. The solution is ideal for customers in vertical markets with delivery fleets including the transportation, utility, courier/delivery, field services, security, construction, and distribution industries. Verizon Wireless Fleet Administrator is priced at $49.99 per month. Devices range from $549.99 to $599.99, which includes full in-vehicle installation. Other fees may apply.
