United Road, which is headquartered in Romulus, Mich., completed the acquisition in partnership with its parent company, Charlesbank Capital Partners. Charlesbank acquired United Road in 2012.
Waggoners is based in Billings, Montana, and Irving, Texas. The company was founded in 1951 by Wayne Waggoner. The company's auto transport division was established in 1987.
