Two New Members Elected to the IARA Board of Directors

Michael Lisk, sales executive at SGS Automotive Services, Inc., and Virgil Matczk, regional sales manager at Auction Broadcasting Company, were recently elected to the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Board of Directors.

Michael Lisk, sales executive at SGS Automotive Services, Inc., and Virgil Matczk, regional sales manager at Auction Broadcasting Company, were recently elected to the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Board of Directors. Each will serve a three-year term. Lisk has been involved in the auto finance industry for 20 years since graduating from Appalachian State University in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Prior to becoming sales executive at SGS, a global testing, inspection, and verification company based in Geneva, Switzerland, Lisk was a division sales manager at WFS Financial, based in Atlanta. From 1999-2002, he was president at Saab Financial Services Corp., based in Norcross, Ga., where he was responsible for remarketing off-lease vehicles. From 1993-1999, Lisk was regional manager at BMW Financial Services in Atlanta. In addition to professional remarketing experience, Lisk served on the American Financial Services Association (AFSA) Board of Directors, a trade association of captive automotive finance companies, banks, and vendors, from 2000-2002. He currently resides in Duluth, Ga., with his wife and two children. Matczk has been working as regional sales manager at Auction Broadcasting Company, based in Detroit, for the last three years. His responsibilities include making sales calls with fleet/lease and factory accounts, consulting on various auction processes, and providing strategic business planning recommendations. A 35-year automotive industry veteran, Matczk was previously a senior management employee at a major domestic manufacturer, where he was responsible for coordinating GDP programs and used-vehicle sales. His honors include the Hall of Fame Achievement Award by the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) and DaimlerChrysler’s Chairman’s Award. Matczk has also been inducted into the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association’s (NIADA) Ring of Honor.
