Trimble has launched Trimble Fleet Express, a new fleet management offering for fleet and field service operators, according to the company.

Trimble Fleet Express is the latest addition in the Field Service Management (FSM) line. The new service package allows fleets to pair a self-installed OBDII device with FSM for vehicle tracking, vehicle maintenance, on-demand reports, scheduling and alert notification. Trimble Fleet Express is one of three fleet management packages available, providing businesses with a choice of solutions to meet their needs.

Trimble Fleet Express provides real-time location information to companies that manage fleets with light-duty vehicles, and provides a more flexible option for those who use leased or employee-owned vehicles where wired-in devices are not an option.

In addition to launching Fleet Express, Trimble has replaced the Bing mapping functionality in its Work Management and Fleet Management solutions with ALK Maps, a dynamic mapping and route visualization platform from Trimble-owned ALK. This new functionality also offers forward geo-coding, street-level routing and other enhanced features.
