TORRANCE, CA – Toyota announced changes to the 2013-MY version of its Sienna, which includes making the V-6 the standard engine on all models, adding a blind spot monitor to the Limited and XLE grades, and offering an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option. The 2013-MY Sienna comes in five grades, LE, SE, XLE, and Limited. The vehicle is assembled at Toyota's Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in Indiana.

The automaker stated that the engine on the Sienna is the 3.5L V-6 that gets 18 mpg city, 25 highway and 16 mpg city, 23 highway on the AWD models. This engine generates 266 hp, and the Sienna can tow a trailer weighing up to 3,500 lbs. The automaker no longer offers a four-cylinder engine option for this vehicle for the 2013 model-year.

New features for 2013 include the addition of a three-zone climate control system to the LE grade, adding a standard blind spot monitoring system to the Limited and XLE grades (this is a standalone option on the SE grade). An acoustic windshield is also now standard on the Limited and XLE. For 2013, the blind-spot monitoring system incorporates a cross-traffic alert feature.

Safety features on the vehicle include seven standard airbags, active headrests to reduce the effects of whiplash, the standard Toyota Star Safety System (that includes ABS, brake assist, vehicle stability control, traction control, and smart stop technology). A Pre-Collision System (PCS) with pre-collision seatbelt system is an option on the Limited grade, according to Toyota.

The automaker is also offering its Entune multimedia system with navigation on the LE, SE, and XLE grades.
