Wunder Mobility, a global mobility technology company, announced yesterday the launch of the Wunder Marketplace, in which software companies across different industries can offer their services on the platform.

The Marketplace — think of it as an app store — was created to provide mobility operators with access to services that can also be easily connected to their existing software ecosystems, Wunder Mobility said in a press announcement.

Currently, partners such as Asana, Zendesk, Zoba, and StriveCloud offer solutions on the Wunder Marketplace. The solutions are designed to improve internal processes, communicate with customers, and automate fleet maintenance, as well as provide analytics and a gamification platform.

Similar to the App Store or Google Play Store, the Wunder Marketplace is open to any partner and developer with a solution to offer, according to Wunder Mobility. The platform model is proven in other industries — think Shopify for e-commerce — yet Wunder claims its marketplace is a first mover in the mobility space.

Regarding what types of mobility operators that would take advantage of the marketplace, Melika Jahinigiri, vice president of global key accounts, says free-floating services such as carsharing, moped sharing, or kickscooters are good examples, though not limited to those types.

She references Wunder clients such as Green Mobility, a carsharing operator looking for better ways to do fleet operations and management, and micromobility operator Blue Duck, seeking to better optimize its fleet through heat maps and data.

Rather than reinventing the wheel, we chose to partner with the best and most respected tools for our clients to better optimize, manage, and scale their business.

“We understand that partners are critical to our ecosystem, therefore we don't need to try and do it all,” Jahingiri said. “We don't want to be the ‘jack of all trades,’ which in turn makes you the master of none. We want to master what we do best, which is software, and work with well-positioned partners.”
