The Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR), now in its ninth year as the nation’s premiere remarketing conference, will blend its traditional participants with new industry up-and-comers on January 21-23, 2004, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
“It has been rewarding to see the growing interest in the CAR program by the key consignor groups. Their sponsorships and presence will ensure that CAR 2004 is our best meeting yet,” said Ed Bobit, CEO of Bobit Publishing, which produces CAR.
For the second consecutive year, CAR 2004 will be co-locating with the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA), which will hold its Remarketing Roundtable for IARA members and CAR attendees. Featuring the top auction, consignee, and financial companies in the industry, three roundtable sessions will be held from 2p.m.-5p.m. January 21. Topics include: IARA Online Remarketing Orientation Course, Transportation Issues Confronting Non-Captives Involved in Upstream Selling, and IARA’s National Remarketing Survey by Emergent Solutions of Chicago. CAR will also offer top speakers and panelists, including: Don Esmond, sr. VP of Toyota Motor Sales, Gretchen Joyce, director of autos, eBay Motors, Chip Perry, president of Autotrader.com, and Charlie Vogelheim from Kelley Blue Book as Emcee.
“This is my second year as emcee of the Conference of Automotive Remarketing, and I am looking forward to another great show. CAR attracts a broad range of professionals; it’s always a great opportunity for networking,” said Vogelheim.
This year’s conference newcomers include a strong backing of new associations and sponsors: Association for Car and Truck Independents and Franchisees (ACTIF), National Automotive Finance Association (NAF), Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA), and National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA). GigglePop.com, the leading valuation software company for PDAs, is a first-time lead sponsor. Driveitaway.com, which launches its new online Web-remarketing tool at this year’s show, will join CAR 2004 as the exclusive sponsor of the IARA Luncheon.
There has never been a better year to attend the Conference of Automotive Remarketing. CAR 2004 will bring unparalleled networking opportunities your company can’t afford to miss.
