Sporty 2018 Passat GT to Debut in Detroit
Volkswagen has revealed the 2018 Passat GT special model, a sportier version of the sedan with a base price of $29,090.

Volkswagen has revealed the 2018 Passat GT special model, a sportier version of the sedan with a base price of $29,090.
The new Passat GT, which is powered by Volkswagen’s 3.6-liter VR6 engine, produces 280 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, according to the automaker. The new Passat GT will make its official reveal Jan. 15 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The 2018 Passat GT provides and EPA estimated fuel economy of 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, according to the automaker. Shifting is handled by a standard six-speed DSG automatic transmission with Tiptronic, which features steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
Its comes standard with LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, and comfort features including eight-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated side mirrors.
