The smart fortwo has been improved for the 2017 model year and becomes more comfortable to operate by drivers of branded fleets or government parking enforcement units.
The smart fortwo coupe is powered by a an three-cylinder turbo-charged 898-cc engine that produces 89 hp and 100 lb.-ft. of torque that delivers power through a 5-speed manual or twinamic dual clutch transmission. The engine is mounted in the rear of the vehicle.
The vehicle's maneuverability especially in tighter spaces is enabled by a turning circle of 22.8 feet from curb to curb and 24 feet from wall to wall.
Several driver assistance systems are now available, including the now-standard Crosswind Assist and optional forward collision warning.
