SEATTLE, WA - Seattle Marriott Hotel of Sea-Tac, working with WorldCNG, has revamped its shuttle bus fleet with three new compressed natural gas (CNG) shuttle buses.
These buses achieve the same miles per gallon as gasoline buses, but do so while reducing green house gas emissions by 40 percent and displacing more than 20,000 gallons of oil per year -- all in addition to big savings on fuel costs, WorldCNG said.
WorldCNG produces and installs natural gas fueling systems for automotive use. All WorldCNG conversions are certified by the Environmental Protection Agency and installed by certified automotive technicians.
"Passengers from Sea-Tac Airport have no idea they are riding in a natural gas vehicle, unless they read the decals on the outside," said Garret Alpers, president of WorldCNG. "Drivers also aren't reminded that they are driving an alternative-fuel vehicle until it's time to refuel. The Clean Energy Fuels natural gas refueling station is located so close to this property that these CNG shuttles are a great fit."
