WORTHINGTON, OHIO – Twelve regional champion Safelite AutoGlass technicians will compete in the national finals to determine the two best glass installers to represent the United States in the Best of Belron international event in England this May.
The event will take place Sat., Jan. 26, at Safelite’s warehouse location in Worthington. The Body Glass Event encompasses technicians breaking side door windows and then replacing them. The Windshield Repair Event included technicians repairing windows with cracks or less-extensive damage. And the Windshield Replacement Event has techs replacing damaged windshields.
Champions will then be selected, and the top two winners will go on to compete in London.
Best of Belron is an auto glass installation competition created in 2000 by Belron S.A., the parent company of Columbus-based Safelite AutoGlass, to reinforce the company’s commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. The competition recognizes the work of the frontline technicians — the grand prize for the winner of the international competition is a year’s salary.
