Ryder to Provide Transportation Services to Asbury Park Press
MIAMI – Ryder will provide Asbury Park Press a turnkey package that includes vehicles, drivers, fleet management, dock operations management, and preventive and programmed maintenance for the equipment.
MIAMI – Ryder System, Inc., a provider of supply chain, warehousing and transportation management solutions, recently announced it will provide Dedicated Contract Carriage (DCC) transportation services to Asbury Park Press, a New Jersey daily and Sunday newspaper. Under the three-year DCC contract, Ryder will manage delivery of Asbury Park Press from its print facilities in Freehold, N.J., to its distribution centers and customers in the central New Jersey metro area.
Ryder's DCC service is a customized suite of transportation management services for the delivery of a customer's products that optimizes its fleet operations and allows its management to be more focused on core business issues. Under the contract, Ryder will provide Asbury Park Press with a turnkey package that includes vehicles, drivers, fleet management, dock operations management, and preventive and programmed maintenance for the equipment.
Ryder has business relationships with 15 newspapers nationally, including the Chicago Tribune, The News-Press, Florida Today, The Miami Herald, and The Dallas Morning News.
