Ryder ‘Road Ready’ Used Tractors Include Free Maintenance Offer
Ryder has launched a used-truck sales marketing program featuring its “Road Ready” tractors with one year of free preventive maintenance service at more than 600 Ryder locations. The maintenance offer consists of a 112-point maintenance and safety inspection, including drive-on, air-brake and under-vehicle inspections, tire and wheel inspections, and an engine compartment check; and an oil and oil filter change and complete lubrication. The four free maintenance visits for Ryder’s “Road Ready” tractors can be scheduled every 24,000 miles within the first year from the date of purchase. Ryder’s "Road Ready" vehicles are single-owner trucks spec’ed with silicone coolant hoses, slack adjusters, filter gauges, synthetic lubricants, jump-start posts, heavy-duty clutches and batteries, and task-specific transmission, suspension and engine packages. Ryder says the vehicles include complete maintenance records and meet or exceed a list of 59 standards such as tire and brake life, OEM engine tolerances, structural, cab and interior integrity, and, where applicable, valid documentation of annual federal inspection.
