Rizon's Trucks Eligible for California’s HVIP Incentive Program
Eligibility comes as RIZON’s first 50 factory-built, battery-electric cabover trucks arrive at Velocity Vehicle Group in Southern California.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) designated Rizon’s Class 4/5 battery-electric cabover trucks as zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) in California under Executive Order: A-361-0033 in September 2023.
The ZEV designation makes Rizon’s vehicles eligible for the state’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), enabling fleets to apply for a base voucher of $60,000 per vehicle purchased.
Revolutionizing Local Transportation
Rizon has commenced the commercial production of its battery-electric cabover trucks, designed in partnership with Daimler Truck and exclusively distributed in the United States by Velocity EV.
These trucks are tailored for:
Local goods transportation.
Refrigerated transport.
They can be further customized with various body options, including box trucks and stake beds, among others.
Notably, all models are equipped with a nimble turning radius that is particularly well-suited for urban driving and advanced safety features like collision avoidance technology.
The Rizon electric trucks offer a range of up to 160 miles on a single charge, and they are compatible with both cost-effective level 2 AC charging and rapid DC fast charging.
Fleet operators can choose between medium and long range battery configurations, allowing them to select the most cost-effective option for their typical routes.
Southern California Embraces Rizon's Urban Electric Delivery Solutions
Fleet operators can take advantage of HVIP vouchers to reduce their total cost of ownership for all Rizon battery-electric truck models, including the e16M, e16L (with a GVWR of 16,000 pounds), and the larger e18M and e18L (with a GVWR of 18,000 pounds).
To participate in the HVIP voucher program, fleet operators must collaborate with an HVIP-approved dealer, such as Velocity, which handles the voucher request process on behalf of the fleet for the Rizon trucks.
Rizon has officially initiated commercially producing Class 4/5 battery-electric cabover trucks.
The first batch of 50 units has recently arrived at Velocity Truck Center dealerships in Southern California this month.
Over 30 of these trucks were pre-ordered by fleet customers and are set to be deployed throughout Southern California this year.
The remaining trucks are now available for immediate purchase and can be further customized to meet specific requirements.
Rizon plans to continue scaling up production and delivering vehicles to customers and dealerships in California throughout the year and beyond.
