GUANGZHOU, CHINA --- The Renault-Nissan Alliance, the government of Guangzhou in south China and Dongfeng Motor Co. (Nissan's Chinese venture partner) have all partnered to promote electric car use in the city of Guangzhou, the Detroit News reported.
The three parties signed an electric vehicle industry development agreement on Nov. 22. Renault-Nissan and its partners will perform a feasibility study of EV infrastructure development and incentives required to make electric vehicles accessible to the population of Guangzhou, a large city formerly known as Canton.
