Reidy Joins XRS as President & COO

XRS Corporation, (formerly Xata Corporation), announced that Brendan Reidy is joining the company effective immediately as its new president and chief operating officer. Reidy is the former chairman and CEO of Clarus Systems in Redwood City, Calif. Reidy will report to Jay Coughlan, XRS chairman and chief executive officer.

“Brendan joins us with a deep background as a leader of technology companies and ventures,” said Coughlan. “With the launch of our new XRS product, we need to intensify our growth momentum, bring in the best talent possible and align our organization to accomplish our vision for the most innovative and valuable fleet management solution on the road.”

As president and COO of XRS, Reidy will oversee development, product management, information systems, quality assurance, customer support, supply chain and human resources. “We will be asking Brendan to drive operational improvement and to put in place processes and systems that will enable us to achieve the scale of growth we both expect and need,” Coughlan said. 

Reidy has held executive-level positions at Qwest Communications/US West, Litton Integrated Automation and Software Alliance Corp. In addition, he has served as a director of several technology companies including eGistics, Arantech, Evolving Systems and Greenbrier & Russel. In addition, he is a venture partner at Trident Capital.

“I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about XRS the past year,” Reidy said. “The innovation they are bringing to the trucking market through their mobile-based XRS product will make them an instant market leader. I’m impressed with the caliber of the XRS team and I’m looking forward to helping the company achieve its ambitious growth goals.”
