ATLANTA – PS Energy Group, an energy resource company with $160 million in revenues in 2005, was the recipient of this year's Supplier of the Year Award from the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council in recognition of its energy-based relief efforts during Hurricane Katrina. To restore power and communication to the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina and other hurricanes last year, the firm deployed dozens of tanker trucks filled with fuel for utility vehicles and emergency generators affected by the storms. The firm is ready to assist during this year's hurricane season as well. Livia Whisenhunt, CEO of PS Energy Group, runs the second largest of Atlanta's top 25 women-owned businesses, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2006 ranking.
