GENEVA, NY – Phelps Sungas on June 10 held the grand opening of the first public propane autogas fueling station in Geneva, N.Y. Launched in conjunction with the Alliance AutoGas nationwide network, the station will provide the Finger Lakes area with easy access to propane autogas.
Roland Penta, chairman of the National Propane Gas Association and president of Phelps Sungas, hosted the ceremony and discussed the benefits of running vehicles on autogas. In attendance were New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (54th Senate District) and the Finger Lakes Regional Director for New York Empire State Development Bob McNary.
“Propane autogas is a clean, cost-effective and domestically produced vehicle fuel that is rapidly growing in popularity with fleets across the country,” said Penta. “Our new fueling station in Geneva is a crucial step toward making American-made autogas more widely available to the public.”
