SEARCHWASHINGTON - Because of a power steering problem, Mercedes Benz USA is recalling more than 85,000 MY 2010 C-Class Model 204, MY 2010 E-Class Model 212, and MY 2010-2011 E-Class Coupe/Cabriolet Model 207 vehicles.
WASHINGTON - Because of a power steering problem, Mercedes-Benz USA LLC is recalling more than 85,000 MY 2010 C-Class Model 204, MY 2010 E-Class Model 212, and MY 2010-2011 E-Class Coupe/Cabriolet Model 207 vehicles.
The power steering system in the recalled vehicles may fail because of a loss of power steering fluid, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. This poses a safety risk.
Dealers will check and re-torque the connection fitting free of charge.
Owners may contact Mercedes-Benz at (800) 367-6372. For reference purposes, this safety recall has been designated as No.10V459000.
