Porsche's 2017 911 Carerra 4 and 911 Targa 4 models will arrive in the U.S. in April with an enhanced all-wheel-drive system that provides better traction control for sports cars that will also provide more powerful and fuel efficient turbocharged engines.

The cars offer a new 3.0L flat-six twin-turbo engine that with a 20-hp increase over the prior model. Using twin-turbo technology, the engines in the 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Targa 4 make 370 hp and 331 lb.-ft. of torque.

Using turbochargers with modified compressor wheels, a model-specific exhaust system, and different tune for the engine management system, the 4S models deliver 420 hp and 368 lb.-ft. of torque. The engines offer significantly greater torque than their predecessors, which is available across a broad power band from 1700 to 5000 rpm, according to the company.

The cars will retail starting at $96,300 for the 911 Carerra 4 and $110,300 for the Carerra 4S. The Targa 4 retails for at least $108,600, while the Targa 4S starts at $122,600.
