Pilot Transport Names VP of Business Development, Fleet Account Manager

BRIGHTON, MI – Pilot Transport named Rodger Dowdell vice president of business development. Paul Solberg will be on his team as fleet account manager.

BRIGHTON, MI – Brighton, Mich.-based Pilot Transport, a niche carrier specializing in transporting specialty, research and development, show and prototype vehicles, named Rodger Dowdell vice president of business development. Paul Solberg will be on his team as fleet account manager.

The company aims to build additional relationships with auto companies, engineering firms, marketing departments, film, video and commercial/catalog producers, and other various vehicle preparation service providers.

Dowdell began his career 30 years ago with Reliable Carriers. He is a graduate of Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. and currently resides in Northville, Mich., with his family.

Prior to joining Pilot Transport, Solberg worked as an account manager/fleet supervisor for Reliable Carriers. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University. He currently lives in New Hudson, Mich.
