SPARKS, MD – Deb Watkins, vice president business development, PHH Arval, has been appointed the new Chair of NAFA’s Affiliates Committee, effective April 10. “I am eager to lead the Affiliates Committee in this very exciting time,” Watkins said. “I hope to be able to build on the strong foundation that has been formed over the years and reach out to the many Affiliates who are eager to support NAFA, but just don’t know how to go about it.” In February, Watkins led a brainstorming planning session to develop new initiatives for the Affiliates Committee. Among the items discussed were:
Strengthening support of and participation in NAFA’s law enforcement segment of the FMI-LEG Conference.
Enhancing communications and relationships with auto manufacturers.
Building ties with leasing companies and their related associations.
Creating value for Affiliates.
“Most of all,” Watkins says, “my goal is to make Affiliates more valuable to NAFA members so that they are seen as more than just sponsors of a great reception during the NAFA FMI-LEG.” John Helman, vice president sales, Nagy FleetNet, will serve as committee vice chair. Chuck Scharmen, director of fleet services, Tamaroff Fleet Group, will serve as Reporting Trustee to the NAFA Board of Trustees.
