Penske Logistics has been designated as a 2014 Special Services Supplier of the Year by Whirlpool Corp. for its ability to provide exemplary contributions to the company's integrated supply chain, Penske has announced.

The criteria for this honor include on-time pick up and on-time delivery of company components and products; innovation practices; accuracy of invoices; and the business flexibility to keep pace with the premier appliance maker.

"Penske is the model for a strategic partnership," said Jim Keppler, Whirlpool's vice president of integration supply chain and quality. "They provide us with the people, technology and services that consistently enable us to deliver our commitments to customers every day."
