OnStar Expands Across GM's 2003-Model Lineup

OnStar announced on June 20 that its communications services will be available on more 2003 GM models and more versions within the GM lineup. New models for 2003 to be equipped for OnStar services include the Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire compacts, the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full-size vans, and the new Hummer H2 SUV. Vehicles equipped with OnStar include all Cadillacs, Buicks, Saabs, and Saturns, all GM minivans and SUVs, and a range of midsize sedans from Chevrolet, Pontiac, and Oldsmobile. OnStar will be offered on 44 of 53 GM 2003 models: Buick: Century, LeSabre, Park Avenue, Regal, Rendezvous Cadillac: CTS, DeVille, Escalade, Escalade EXT, Seville Chevrolet: Avalanche, Cavalier, Express, Impala, Monte Carlo, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, TrailBlazer, TrailBlazer EXT, Venture GMC: Envoy, Envoy XL, Savana, Sierra, Sierra Denali, Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, Yukon XL Denali Hummer: H2 Oldsmobile: Aurora, Bravada, Silhouette Pontiac: Aztek, Bonneville, Grand Prix, Montana, Sunfire Saab: 9-3, 9-5 Saturn: Ion, L-Series, VUE Depending upon the model, OnStar is standard, part of a preferred package, or a stand-alone option. Whichever way it is ordered, it includes a year of the basic Safe & Sound service. After a year, subscribers can renew the Safe & Sound service for $16.95 per month, or sign up for the more comprehensive Directions & Connections package for $34.95 per month.
