Nissan has named a veteran BMW executive to lead its Infiniti division and fill the void left by the recent departure of two top Infiniti leaders.
Roland Kruger takes on the roles of president of Infiniti and senior vice president of the Nissan Motor Co. based in Hong Kong. Kruger will report to Carlos Ghosn, Nissan's president and CEO.

Kruger leaves his role as senior vice president at BMW in charge of the German sales region. He joined BMW in 1998 as a manager of strategic product planning and has headed product planning for several gloabl regions including Asia-Pacific, Africa, and East Europe. He also served as managing director of the BMW Group in Asia. Prior to joining BMW, Kruger worked for Mitsubishi Motors Europe and the Daimler Group.
Kruger joins Infiniti a week after the brand's chairman Andy Palmer left for Aston Martin and two months after Infiniti president Johan de Nysschen departed for Cadillac.
