CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – Knaack Manufacturing Company recently updated its Weather Guard Vehicle Solutions software to a new 2.0 version to enhance usability and functionality. New van models have been added to the software, including the following minivans: Chevrolet Uplander, Ford Freestar, and Dodge Caravan Cargo. In addition to improved mouse control, product placement features have been updated, allowing closer equipment placement. Enhanced 3-D images provide even more realistic renderings of the custom van storage solutions designs, while new feedback “pop-ups” assist with design creation. Weather Guard Vehicle Solutions has been integrated with the new van product line, and software information is now available in the new Weather Guard Van Solutions catalog. While creating a drawing in the software, users can refer to actual equipment photos and information in the catalog further enhancing the design experience. Distributors and upfitters have complete freedom to create quotes, pricing, and installation charges on the custom van designs. Company and customer details can be added to the custom quotes as well as “preferred” pricing and special pricing on individual SKU items. Further customization is available via the new export feature — a complete parts list can now be exported to Microsoft Word, Excel, or a CSV file. Weather Guard Vehicle Solutions’ easy-to-use software tool allows users to custom-design work vans with shelving, cabinets, roof racks, and accessories. The 3-D software produces simple-to-use interactive graphics to help the user visualize the custom design prior to purchase. Design revisions are quick and easy, and once the van design is finalized, the design drawing and the corresponding list of materials can be printed and saved. No detailed product knowledge or measuring is necessary.
